Interactive Art Research Master's Programme
Call for Applications
The Interactive Art Research Master is a two-year programme focusing on interactive art, intended for students, artists, and scientists looking to establish a shared theory and practice. This unique programme brings together the Humanities, Art, and the Digital Sciences, and was founded in 2009, owing to a partnership between the European School of Visual Arts and the University of Poitiers. The latter is responsible for teaching part of the theory programme and for the methodological framework.
The programme aims to develop an original ideology of technology and science in the field of art. The teaching involves theory classes, practical courses, and workshops led by internationally renowned artists. The programme also aims to foster the autonomy of the students in matters relating to the development of artistic concepts, the production of material or immaterial systems, as well as the formulation of artistic issues.
Classes take place at the University of Poitiers campus and at the European School of Visual Arts (Ecole Européenne Supérieure de l'Image) in Poitiers and Angoulême. Classes are taught in French, although English is frequently used.
The application deadline is 31 August 2012.
