Call for Proposals
As part of their cooperative efforts, the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) and the European Union (EU) have developed the ACP-EU Support Programme for the ACP Cultural Sector (ACPCULTURES+), which combines the ACP Films and ACP Cultures programmes. Implemented by the Secretariat of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States and supported by the European Union, this programme was created to help develop and structure cultural industries in ACP States.
The second Call for Proposals of the ACPCultures+ Programme was launched on 18 September 2012. It will be closed on 20 December 2012. This Call for Proposals to which EUR 14.800.000 has been allocated, is addressed to ACP and EU operators carrying out cooperation projects in the field of audiovisual and cultural sectors. The areas concerned are: production / creation, training / professionalization, distribution / dissemination and regulation of the sector. This second and last Call for Proposals within the 10th EDF is different from the first Call for Proposals for the following points: new priorities, a widespread range of eligible operators and projects and a new grant range.
The specific objectives of the current call for proposals are:
- reinforcing the creation and production of cultural services and goods in the ACP States through an approach integrated with distribution networks;
- supporting increased access to local, regional, intra-ACP, European and international markets for the cultural goods and services of the ACP States;
- building the capacities of culture sector professionals in ACP States;
- improving the regulatory environment of the culture sector in ACP countries.
