Artists in Residence 2011 Programme of Kulturkontakt Austria

In 2010 KulturKontakt Austria is carrying on with its established and successful artists-in-residence programme, offering two arts awards in cooperation with the Henkel CEE company, the only comprehensive art promotion prizes for the Central and Eastern European and Central Asian region.

The KulturKontakt Austria's Artists in Residence programme provides for a stay of three months in Vienna, including studio, accommodation, insurance, a monthly grant of € 1.000, as well as an exhibition of the artist's work at the end of the three-months period. Visual artists up to the age of 35 from the following countries in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe are eligible to apply: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.

The Henkel Art.Award Promotional Prize for Young CEE Artists invites fine artists in the fields of painting, drawing, photography, video and installation to take part in the prize competition. Without prescribing any pre-defined themes, the Henkel Art.Award bestows prizes for outstanding and innovative entries. An international jury will select the winner of the Henkel Art.Award. Promotional Prize for Young CEE Artists from the entries submitted for the Artists-in-Residence Program of KulturKontakt Austria. In addition to the three month scholarship from KulturKontakt Austria, the winner will also receive a monetary prize of 2,000 Euros from Henkel CEE.

Application deadline is 9 July 2010. The prize winners will be selected by an international jury in the beginning of September 2010 and will receive a notice in writing.
