In its Postgraduate Programme in International Cultural Cooperation and Management, the University of Barcelona offers two specializations: Euro-International (in English) and Ibero-American (in Spanish), with the goal to train a new generation of cultural managers interested in the development of international cultural cooperation projects. The programme, that is recognised by UNESCO, and receives a grant from the Ministry of Culture of Spain, uses two different methodologies: e-learning for the introduction and most of the second part of the course (with online readings, exercises, bibliography and cases, as well the tuition of the design of a cultural cooperation project), and one intensive periods in Barcelona with regular lectures, workshops, visits and student joint activities.
The Postgraduate Programme in Cultural Management and Policies addresses professionals in charge of projects or cultural institutions interested in the reflection of cultural policies and new challenges within the modern cultural management. In order to combine formation periods with career activity and to promote participation by professionals elsewhere, the programme is developed in Spanish through two intensive weeks, one short journeys to visit cultural institutions and companies abroad, a three days methodology intensive course, and online readings, exercises and bibliography.
