World Summit on Arts and Culture Bursary Applications

Aiming to support participation from the widest number of countries within the budget available, IFACCA and the Australia Council for the Arts have made available bursaries for registration, travel and/or accommodation assistance to World Summit delegates from developing countries. The deadline for applications is 15 April 2011.

The selection criteria include:

  • the breadth of knowledge about the Summit theme and the potential to contribute to, and benefit from, the discussions, workshops and networking opportunities;
  • the degree of interest in the objectives of IFACCA as demonstrated by participation in the Federation or sharing of information with the network;
  • financial need (based on the GDP of home country).

The 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture will take place in Melbourne, Australia, on 3-6 October 2011 under the title Creative Intersections, bringing together government and cultural leaders from over 80 countries to explore how artists can give voice to diverse communities and concerns through collaborations with experts in health and well-being, the environment, education, business, new technologies, cultural identity and more.
