Professional Specialization Certificate in Cultural Heritage Sector Leadership

The Cultural Resource Management Program at the University of Victoria, BC, Canada, is organising an innovative Certificate Program for museum and cultural sector professionals seeking to enhance their management and leadership skills. Through a partnership of theoretical study and practical work-based analysis of challenges and opportunities facing their institution, the Professional Specialization Certificate in Cultural Heritage Sector Leadership facilitates critical thinking skills, develops networking opportunities, and builds confidence, capacity and ability.

Participants in the PSC begin their studies with a three-day seminar entitled Challenges in Cultural Sector Leadership, hosted in Victoria, British Columbia, on 22-24 November 2004. Four online courses follow to offer participants flexibility to learn in their own surroundings while being networked to peers within the museum and cultural sector.

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, be admissible to the University of Victoria, and have a minimum of two years of related professional experience in the heritage sector. Applications should be submitted by 15 October 2004.
