Canadian Studies Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Centre for Canadian Studies at Mount Allison University invites applications for a non-renewable two-year postdoctoral fellowship. Applicants should have a recently completed Ph.D., or be near completion by the time the appointment takes effect on 1 July 2007.

Prospective candidates should be developing a research program in a contemporary Canadian field. The field of research is open, however those with expertise in Native Studies, Cultural Studies, or contemporary Canadian political economy are particularly encouraged to apply.

The ability to teach in more than one of the following areas is highly desirable: Native Studies, Contemporary Canadian Issues, Cultural Studies (particularly as it pertains to ethno-cultural diversity) and Regionalism. The successful candidate will teach three one-semester courses per academic year in Canadian Studies; in addition, s/he will participate in the activities of the Centre for Canadian Studies.

The deadline for submission of applications is 12 March 2007.
