Choice Youth Leadership Programme
The Seagull Foundation for the Arts seeks an experienced Project Manager on a minimum 18-month contract to manage its Choice Youth Leadership Programme from Calcutta, India.
Chioce is an organization offering internships of varying lengths to a maximum of 30 to 40 young persons (aged 18–25) from different parts of India, with the aim of broadening their options and nurturing a sense of social responsibility by facilitating placements in developmental NGOs working in different areas of social concern, environment issues, arts groups, educational institutions and special education institutes.
Choice is looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience of programme management in at least one of the following fields: education, youth work, arts and culture, development. The person should be fluent in English with some experience of grant/finance management, willing to travel and work extended hours if required. The post requires a creative thinker with good problem-solving and negotiation skills who is also a good oral and written communicator. Above all, evidence of commitment to the holistic development of young people as active and socially engaged citizens is required. The post will be based in Calcutta, India.
