Master of Arts Degree in Culture, Creativity and Entrepreneurship
The School of Performance and Cultural Industries of the University of Leeds invites interested applicants to enrol for their new 12 months full-time or 24 months part-time master's programme that provides insight into creative businesses, cultural projects and policy development, and develops personal creative practice.
This new degree provides for recent graduates and experienced practitioners who already are, or wish to be cultural managers; entrepreneurs; arts educators; creatives; curators; and those working in roles which mediate between the cultural sector, public bodies, and higher education. Local, national and international in outlook, it will appeal to applicants with interests in the cultural and creative industries, cultural policy, regeneration, management and analysis.
Core modules will provide an academic grounding in cultural and creative industries, cultural policy and the creative city. Options allow your own exploration of the creative process, and to learn first hand from creative practitioners and cultural organisations. A large scale research project will allow you to develop these insights in a way tailored to your own interests and experiences.
Housed in a completely new performance centre on the University of Leeds campus, the School of Performance and Cultural Industries is part of a faculty of creative disciplines - music, fine art, cultural studies, design communications and media, and has many connections with local and national cultural and creative organisations.
