Dartington International Summer School
The Dartington International Summer School welcomes enthusiastic amateurs, late-starters, complete beginners, leading professional artists and up-and-coming talent to a wide range of courses and lectures to take place in Devon, UK, between 26 July – 30 August 2008. The majority of courses are open to all participants, regardless of musical experience, although some are targeted at advanced musicians. Dartington also presents a rich festival of music.
The School awards a limited number of bursaries to gifted musicians wishing to undertake any of the courses offered. Applications are welcome from musicians of all ages, be they students, retired, on a low-income, or facing financial difficulties. Awards can be offered to applicants from any country, and at any stage of their musical development. Bursaries provide up to 90% of the full cost (fees, accommodation and meals). Applications must reach Dartington by 4 April 2008.
