Master of Arts in Arts Management

The Utrecht School of the Arts Master of Arts in Arts Management (MA AM) is intended for ambitious young professionals who want to go further in the creative industry: arts sector, media, entertainment and creative business services. During this Masterís course, knowledge and skills will be developed in the area of creation, production, distribution, project management, research methods, and strategic management.

On completion of the MA AM programme, you will be able to point out and create opportunities on the basis of a broad knowledge of various domains and sectors of the creative industry. This combination of knowledge and skills will enable you to optimally realise your own cultural mission. The project-based education will bring you into intensive contact with both theory and the professional field. In the first four months of the course you will work in teams on one to three projects. This is followed by a two-month intensive theoretical block. In the final six months, you will set up and work on an individual project within one of the six pathways.

The course starts at the beginning of September and lasts for 48 weeks full-time. It includes practice-based research and project-based education. Accredited by the Open University Validation Services London UK, the MA degree is recognised in all countries that accept English degrees and certificates.

Application deadline is 1 April 2008.
