Chiyoda Art Festival 2011
Call for Submissions
The Chiyoda Art Festival 2011 planned for March, has been postponed and rescheduled to take place on 3-19 September 2011 in Tokyo, Japan. The Festival organized by 3331 Arts Chiyoda offers a wide range of people the opportunity to present their creativity through an exhibition. This year, in addition to the exhibition, there will be 'Stage' and 'Market' events, further extending the range of artistic expression brought together in this art festival.
The Stage 'Odorinoba' will be a space for dance, ballet, traditional arts and performance with no limitation of genre. Performers may submit 5-15 minute works to be presented to the public. The 'Whole Arts Market' will be held on 3331's rooftop, filled with books, art and collections.
3331 will provide a scholarship programme for selected artists nominated by visitors and a jury panel. Winners of this scholarship will have the opportunity to present their work in a short exhibition starting in April 2012. The selection will be based on a popularity vote held during the exhibition period; selection of a jury of guest artists and professionals during a public critic session, and the selection of the 3331 staff. All interested artists are invited to submit their applications by 1 August 2011.
