Graduate Programmes of Massachusetts College of Art and Design

The Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) offers first rated Master of Fine Arts programmes, welcoming applications from international students seeking a world-class graduate education. With a legacy of leadership dating to 1873, MassArt was the first degree-granting college of art in the US and remains the nation's only independent public university of art and design. Its campus offers more than 1,000,000 square feet of studios, workshops and galleries. All accepted students who qualify receive financial assistance, which might include teaching assistantships, scholarships, and/or loans.

Master of Fine Arts programmes are offered in:

  • 2D Painting and Printmaking;
  • 3D Sculpture, Fibers, Ceramics, Glass;
  • Film and Video;
  • Communication Design (Interactive Media);
  • Interrelated Media (Conceptual and Social Practices);
  • 2D Low-Residency at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.

A Master's programme is offered also in architecture, and a Master of Art programme in Teaching Art, while Post-Baccalaureate programmes are offered in Fine Art, Communication Design, and Photography.

MassArt invites interested candidates to submit applications for the fall semester 2012 by 15 January 2012.
