UNIDEE in Residence International Programme 2013

Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, a non-profit organisation founded in Biella, Italy in 1998, presents a new edition of the UNIDEE in Residence International Programme. The project, which has been running since 2000, focuses on the analysis of the relationship between art and society, investigating methodologies of creative interventions able to activate projects for a responsible social transformation. The aim of UNIDEE in Residence is to bring together committed visual/video animators, artists, photographers, architects from all over the world for four months - their interaction and collaboration will result in a series of projects claiming for a socially responsible change in society. During the programme, residents will develop their projects, live and work together, exchange ideas, attend lectures and project presentations. Moreover, Cittadellarte will arrange opportunities to meet and collaborate with experts as well as local partners, such as companies, schools, institutions and councils. At the end of the UNIDEE in Residence, Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto will set up an open space, where the projects will be presented to the public.
Dates: 4 months, from 12 June to 12 October 2013. Accommodation and working spaces: Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, Biella, Italy. Eligibility: age - between 25 and 40, education - degree at university level or in the process of graduating, language - good proficiency in English required.
The deadline for applications is 22 January 2013. Results will be published at the UNIDEE website by the end of February 2013.
