The International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) Policy Skills Training Programmes 2016
The International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) promotes effective policy making and good governance through better interaction between Parliaments, Governments and other stakeholders in society. Thus, the Centre organizes a range of training programmes, conferences and policy discussions providing a forum for policy discussion, debate, networking and sharing of best practices. The next policy skills training programmes are:
- Professional Certificate in Policy Implementation and Evaluation, 8 - 12 February 2016, London, UK - The programme provides essential skills for ensuring best practice in implementing and evaluating policy through discussions with leading practitioners and best practice examples. Participants will improve upon their understanding of the policy cycle, project management techniques, and evaluation methodologies, leaving with an enhanced ability to communicate and influence the policy process, crucial for those working in governance and with key stakeholders.

- Professional Certificate in Strategic Policy Planning, 7 - 11March 2016, London, UK - This certificated programme is designed for all those working in policy environments and presents an opportunity to enhance their approach towards effective policy making. Through practical case studies, workshops and discussions with leading practitioners in the field, the programme provides the essential skills for ensuring best practice in strategic thinking, planning and managing the policy process from beginning to end. Participants will improve upon their understanding of the policy narrative and be fully equipped to develop, deliver and assess a range of policy options concurrent with their organization's needs.
