Call for Donations of Publications for the Newly Established Resource Centre in Arts Management in Tajikistan
The Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation in Tajikistan is about to launch a new MA programme in Arts Management in Dushanbe in 2016, in partnership with four local universities. This will be the first programme of that kind in the region of Central Asia. Working towards this goal, the first phase is successfully completed - a series of training of trainers seminars in 2015 for the local academia and cultural activists was held. The goal is to improve professionalism and management capacities of cultural operators of NGOs, publicly funded institutions in the cultural sector, as well as cultural businesses, leading to a sustainable strengthening of the overall cultural sector in Tajikistan. As the new MA Programme in Arts Management needs a solid backup by methodological materials on diverse subject matters, as a next phase in the programme's development a Resource Centre for Arts Management will be opened in 2016 (both online and offline). It will be managed by the renowned non-profit organization Dushanbe Art Ground.
Cultural institutions, foundations, public bodies, universities, libraries and individual experts are kindly asked to donate materials to the new Centre - publications, books, documents, etc. - in any field related to arts management, for example cultural policy and legislation, entrepreneurship and innovations in the arts, creative industries, marketing the arts, human resource management, fundraising and financing the arts, international cultural cooperation, cultural diplomacy, economics of culture, cultural tourism, performing arts management, gallery management, and so on. The materials may be submitted in a print for the Resource Centre library, or electronic version for the new website of the Resource Centre.
Your name/institution will be acknowledged as a donor. Collective efforts will surely kick off the new MA programme in Arts Management in Tajikistan and this important action will give a chance to many generations ahead to benefit from its development.
