Culture et eurorégions. La coopération culturelle entre régions européennes

The European local and regional authorities developed many networks and cooperative projects, notably in cross-border areas, which led to the establishment of specific organisations called Euroregions. This book deals with cultural policy in the framework of the Euroregions. It is based on a comparative analysis of four Euroregions: the Euroregion Pyrénées-Méditerranée and the Euroregion Alpes-Méditerranée situated in the Western Mediterranean Arc; the Grande Région (Greater Region) and the cross-Channel Euroregion in North-West Europe. In a time when the budget and modalities of the European regional policy for 2014-2020 are being negotiated, this work opens stimulating perspectives regarding the role of Euroregions in the construction of a Europe of the regions and of culture.
